The fruit of the Spirit Gentleness
Gentleness is defined as strength or power under perfect control. To be kind, gracious, not violent, harsh or rough, to handle with ease, to be calm.
One illustration in the New Testament through which Jesus shows us an example of gentleness: (John 8:1-11) when the woman caught in adultery was thrown at His feet to judge.
II Timothy 2:24-26 contains three fruit of the spirit. Can you identify them? The servant of the Lord must be gentle, patient, and meek.
In 1 Thessalonians, 2-7 and 8, Paul refers to the gentle way he was among the Thessalonians: as a mother who cherishes and nurses her child.
James 3:17 two characteristics of someone walking in the wisdom of God are gentleness and peace.
In Psalm 18:35, the Psalmist David said, Thy gentleness has made me great.
When you see all the wonderful benefits of walking in gentleness it would be a blessing to have this fruit of the spirit in your life.
