Life is What You Make it

We live in a society where people blame their parents, teachers, coaches, bosses, and others for the reason their life isn't going well. I believe we all have been mistreated to some degree in our lives. The day comes that we have to move forward to the life we want to have and not what is in the rearview mirror.

Once we take ownership of our life we will begin to set goals of what we want to accomplish. God has given each of us talents and giftings to fulfill that calling.

I remember the day my husband was attending a retirement party for a fellow worker. He said it seemed that the person worked 50 years, retired, bought a travel trailer or lake lot, and in a few years they would pass along the word that the retiree had died.  My husband had an epiphany moment and said, "there has to be more to life than this!" It was shortly after that a man shared his faith with my husband and he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He attended bible school and became a pastor for 29 years.

You have to make a decision that you will not let your life become dull and boring when you have the chance to seize the day and begin to walk out your dreams.

If you have ever been to a cemetery you will see the gravestone has the name of the person and their birth date, then a dash and then the date they died. There is always a dash between the date of birth and date of death. My question to you is what are you doing in this "dash" time of your life? Make a decision today to make the "dash season" of your life count for eternity!
